Here We Create The Future wins the European Innovative Teaching Award!

We are incredibly proud to share that Here We Create The Future has won the European Innovative Teaching Award 2026!

The EITA is an initiative of the European Commission that celebrates innovative and inspiring practices developed through Erasmus+ projects. This year’s theme, “Skills for Life”, could hardly fit our project better.

Together with partners from the Netherlands, Spain, Italy and Türkiye, we adapted the Weekend School approach to different local contexts. The result: five new Weekend Schools in Madrid, Murcia, Belluno, Istanbul and Izmir.

Throughout the project, young people discovered new talents, met inspiring professionals, built confidence and developed important skills such as communication, creativity, resilience and cooperation. International training and student exchanges added an unforgettable European dimension.

This award belongs to the entire partnership, and to all teachers, youth workers, volunteers, stakeholders and young people who made the project such a success.

And the best part? The story continues. The Weekend Schools are still active, and the project materials remain freely available at www.weekendschool.eu.

We look forward to officially receiving the award during the Erasmus+ Annual Event in the Netherlands on 28 October 2026.

A fantastic recognition of what we achieved together, and a great boost for what comes next!
