About the project

FASTEAM is a European cooperation project that brings families, schools and communities together through STEAM education: Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics.

Why FASTEAM?

Children’s curiosity and confidence are shaped not only at school, but also through the encouragement, experiences and conversations they have at home. FASTEAM therefore develops practical and accessible ways for parents, teachers and students to explore STEAM together.

Through storytelling, creative challenges, hands-on experiments and interactive events, the project connects learning at home and at school. Special attention is given to creating inclusive learning environments in which every child can participate.

By challenging stereotypes and presenting diverse STEAM experiences and role models, FASTEAM aims to encourage girls and learners from underrepresented groups to discover their talents and see a future for themselves in STEAM.

Our objectives

FASTEAM aims to:

  • strengthen cooperation between families, teachers and students;

  • make STEAM learning engaging, accessible and relevant to everyday life;

  • increase the participation and confidence of girls and underrepresented learners;

  • promote diversity, inclusion, creativity and equal opportunities in education;

  • support teachers and parents with practical tools for hands-on learning;

  • create a sustainable and transferable approach to family involvement in STEAM education.

Our results

FASTEAM will develop practical tools, resources and approaches that help families and schools explore STEAM together. These results will be tested with teachers, parents and students in the participating countries and will be made available for wider use.

Visit our Results page to discover the tools, learning resources and other project outcomes as they become available.
